I was looking for some ways to convert emails into a RSS feed. I searched around the internet for a little bit and couldn’t find an article on how to convert emails to a RSS feed.

I know there is a way to do it. I am just not sure. I asked a programmer at work and he said he could do it but never had experience with it so he would have to look into it.

Here are some ways that I came up with:

  • RSS Creators– search around for those sites that can create a rss feed for you based on any content and see what you can come up with. This is more of an idea to get you thinking than a solution. You might have to paste all the emails into an excel document and upload it to a RSS creator. Look for tools that might automatically run through all your emails if you have hundreds of them like I do. I think Scrapebox might be able to do this. Also, I believe you can create a rss from google spreadsheets.
  • Social Bookmarks– Use social bookmarking sites to create a RSS Feed. Most social bookmarking sites will create a RSS feed from your bookmarks. You can organize them by tags. Post the email into the description and post. I like digio because you can highlight paragraphs and easily bookmark it.
  • Using Blog– If your main reason to create a RSS feed was to feed them into the blog, there is a much better solution anyway by using the post by email feature which I will discuss more in depth later. All you would do is forward the email address to the blog. Or you can do this and grab that blogs’ RSS feed.
