Here are some good tips to know right from the beginning for video marketing, general marketing, and selling that you should be implementing for your business online or offline.  They can be used for your sales funnel, product launch, or advertising campaigns.

1.  Authority and Association

Popular and known people or organizations appear to be trusted more and when they endorse a product, it will be more likely to sell.  So if a celebrity promotes a product or service, they will sell more than someone that uses a unknown person.

You can still borrow authority if from organizations or people for your products on your site.  if you have a ecommerce site offering products, you can use the authority of a shipping company such as FedEx by placing their logo on a page.  The same goes for credit card companies.  I always use the popular credit card logos at the bottom to show people that we accept those cards.

2.  Proof and Reviews

People are more likely to buy a particular product when they see that other people are buying.  This is kind of like jumping on the bandwagon that you probably hear marketers talking about a lot.  Proof show in reviews also shows trust.

3. Use Scarcity Tactics
By stating that the offer will not be there forever or that their so only so many that will be sold, makes people less hesitate to buy.  They think about the buying decision less and usually react quicker because they might not have the time to decide later.

4. The Use of Fear Tactics
By illustrating a fear or pain and showing that your safe with your product can make people more likely to buy because it will help them.  Whether its to help or solve, both of these can be targeted to make them get their wallet out.

5. Engage with the Customer
The best way to get people to buy is to ignore most online marketers that suggest aggressive pushy sales copy.  With that said, you should actually interact with the customer by asking questions if the product is right for them.

6. Paint the Picture
You can paint the picture of the customer owning the product by asking them relevant questions such as; where do you think your going to put this is your house?  This makes them think about where they might put the object their about to buy.

7. Show the Product as a Problem Solver
Even if a product your trying to sell is more expensive than the one they were looking at, showing or explaining how it will solve a problem can be some great sales tactics.

8. Use a Call to Action

You always need to make a call to action on any website.  Make them clear and use them more than once.  You still have to make it clear that you want them to buy.  Just don’t make it too pushy.
